"a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit" (James 2:15-16 NKJV)

Prosperity

Paul's letter to the church at Philippi commending their generosity in sending money and goods to other Christians.

^14" Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. ¹⁵ And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him". Philippians 4:19 Paul says that he is full because they gave. In this verse he writes that God will supply all their needs. The Philippians, in turn, will be full because of the gifts God will give them. according to His riches: Out of His abundant wealth, God will more than amply take care of the Philippians.

² "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers". 3John1:2 may prosper . . . be in health . . . soul prospers: John's greeting may imply that Gaius was physically weak, though spiritually strong. More probably John is simply following the pattern of greetings common to Greek letters.

You may ask! Why some have almost everything in their life and some do not. Some pray so hard and still not getting their prayer answered. The answer! We can hinder our prayers for financial prosperity by not cooperating with God, by not entering into the doors God opens for us. Financial blessing is at Luke 6:38 which says "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."

DE 23:6	Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their PROSPERITY all thy days for ever.
1SA 25:6	And thus shall ye say to him that liveth in PROSPERITY, Peace be both to thee, and peace be to thine house, and peace be unto all that thou hast.
1KI 10:7	Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and PROSPERITY exceedeth the fame which I heard.
JOB 15:21	A dreadful sound is in his ears: in PROSPERITY the destroyer shall come upon him.
JOB 36:11	If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in PROSPERITY, and their years in pleasures.
PS 30:6	And in my PROSPERITY I said, I shall never be moved.
PS 35:27	Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the PROSPERITY of his servant.
PS 73:3	For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the PROSPERITY of the wicked.
PS 118:25	Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now PROSPERITY.
PS 122:7	Peace be within thy walls, and PROSPERITY within thy palaces.
PR 1:32	For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the PROSPERITY of fools shall destroy them.
EC 7:14	In the day of PROSPERITY be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.
JER 22:21	I spake unto thee in thy PROSPERITY; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice.
JER 33:9	And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the PROSPERITY that I procure unto it.
LA 3:17	And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat PROSPERITY.
ZEC 1:17	Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through PROSPERITY shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.
ZEC 7:7	Should ye not hear the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in PROSPERITY, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?
