"a
brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to
them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the
things which are needed for the body, what does it profit"
(James 2:15-16 NKJV)

Fruit of the Spirit
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
(Galatians 5:22-23)
Commentary:
5:22, 23 Spirit: There
is a question here whether Paul means specifically the works done by a person's
regenerated human spirit, or works done by the Holy Spirit Himself in the
believer's life. The fruit analogy is reminiscent of Jesus teaching on
the vine, branches, and fruitful harvest.
